Email Marketing For Etsy Sellers
Analytics & Tracking

After sending emails to your list for a while, it’s a smart idea to analyse and adjust your strategy to maximise the results.

There are a few things to look at:

Open rate - This probably reflects how catchy and interesting your subject line is. For emails with a low open rate, consider re-writing the subject line.

Click-through rate (CTR) - There can be a lot of factors affecting the click-through rate. For example, an information email will have a lower CTR than a sales email. But if you have some comparable emails, like two similar product launch emails, it’s good to compare their CTR. One of the main reasons of low CTR is that readers are not sure what to click on. Consider making the button more prominent with a clear benefit.

Unsubscribe rate - It’s normal to have some people unsubscribe from your list. However, if there’s one email that has a high unsubscribe rate, then it’s a good idea to look into it to see how you can improve. It may be because the information is irrelevant to the reader, or the content is just not interesting enough.
